Question about secure certificates and merchants

I hope this is in the right spot.

I just want to know 2 things. First please PM me if your thoughts on National Merchant Bancard. Do most of you use them or another service? I am looking into setting up an e-commerce site for the first time and I have picked zen cart for my cart and this is their recommended merchant so I will probably go with them but I wanted to know your thoughts

Second I have a question about ssl certificates. Should I have one or is all the secure stuff handled inside the merchant. IF I need one who do you use? I have been looking at godaddy. What are your thought about them?

You will need one as the details CC# etc must be transmitted securley

GeoTrust, COMODO, Thwate, and Versign are the most recognized/trusted providers. I personally would not use GD for anything

Goddaddy only good if you want cheap domain names .. stay away from their SSL , HOSING and any other services they may offer..

for hosting , check out zencart certified host . as they know what they do and they are PCI complaint .

i have a godaddy hosting account with ssl. should i be worried about something? thinking about signing up with NMB as well.

base on what i seen and read , godaddy hosting is very very very slow for dynamic sites like zencart .. i have no issue with SSL itself is just their seal loads very slow , thus making the site load slow as well .
