Adding tooltips to product thumbnails

We need to add tooltips (via http://www.walterzorn.com/tooltip/tooltip_e.htm) to our product thumbnails. The tooltip will be the full-size version of the product image. At this point, all I need to find is the code that renders

a href="http://www.xxxxxx.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=X&products_id=X"

around the product image -- I have attempted the Developer's Toolkit from the Admin, but with no luck.

Any help is appreciated!

That code is generated by includes/modules/product_listing.php at lines 166-168 in an unmodified 1.3.8a file.
If you use the ImageHandler2 module, there is a setting to zoom the small images on mouseover. That module is probably one of the most used, is easy to install and will save you having to reinvent the wheel...
