Default Help With Logging in. Please.

We are having a major issue with members not being able to login using Internet Explorer 7 and 8. I have not tested it with IE 6.

When they type in their username and password, it looks like it is trying to login but just kind of sits there with the status bar just slowly moving. So the person thinks that it is taking a long time or not logging in.

But another strange thing is if they hit back or click something else it will show them actually logged into their account. This is very strange. Can someone please tell me what could be causing this???

One more thing. If I go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Go the Miscellaneous section and put the "Display Mixed Content" option to Enabled, everything works just fine. I am not having this problem with FireFox.

Please help!! We are having some unhappy customers.

It isn't working for me in FF, either.

It may have something to do with your SEO URL mod. Try turning that off.

    ... Oh... you mean MSIE...

Do you have a SSL certificate?

Could there be items on the landing page(s) after login that are not ssl?

These mods are more trouble than they are worth... especially since they serve absolutely no useful purpose anymore, as dynamic content is easily indexed by SE's and has been so for the last 5 years...

Hi guys thanks for the info. I tried finding a way to turn off the SEO Module but int he admin when I look for a way to turn it off I do not see it. I go to Configuration -> Simple SEO URL but I don't see a way to disable it, only configure it.

This is driving me crazy. We do have a SSL Certificate, and it is possible that the page you are directed to after logging in is creating this problem but I cannot find it.

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE suggest what else I might be able to do. If it is the SEO Module, I would like to turn it off, but I can't find the option.

I don't think it's the SEO module, we've had that for a while and this just started happening. I thought it was just Internet Explorer, but it is also doing it in Firefox!! I cannot figure this out...

Can someone please look at our site and see what could be causing this??? I hope this wasn't a hack or something... The only think that I can think of at this point is when I installed and activated Paypal's Express Checkout and Websites Payment Pro. But even after disabling them it still just sits there when you try to login in.

Has something with our SSL gone wrong or something?
