Attribute Image OnMouseOver?

I have some products that have attributes with images associated with them. These images are of unusual colors and what not. I was thinking it would be good if the customers could see these images larger. Is it possible to have it so that either:
when a customer mouses over the attribute images a larger image pops up?
or
the customers can click on the attribute image and a larger one will pop up... like a lightbox feature.

is this possible for attribute images?

btw i checked in tuts/faqs and found nothing

A module that can assist with this easily is the IH2 or image handler 2 3rd party module available in the free software addons section
