Link multiple product descriptions to one main product

I sell parts for motor vehicles and many of the parts can fit more than one type of vehicle or model.

Is there a way of linking products to each other to save having to duplicate the products?

To clear things up, a products model can be applicable for say 20 other descriptions, so can I link to a product title to an existing model number item?

I am having the same issue as you because we deal in outdoor power equipment which parts can be used on many different products.

At the moment I have around 1000 items listed but need to link them to other brand name products but for some reason when I do multi link the item does not show up.

I am in the same boat.

Although you are duplicating items, you are not creating new item numbers.

I change the title of the item to show the different OEM stock numbers (i.e. ORG50 50mm Oring P50) just so that the search will find these products.

It also helps to have a description state all this.
