Giving access to a directory

Hello, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. This is my first time using a shopping cart program and so far Zen Cart has been pretty painless.... Here's what I'm trying to do:

My client has setup a website that he would like to sell access to. We have it setup on a database, so users can create they're own username/password. Im wondering how I can go about securing the directory that has the site registration page until after payment is made? So the user can't just pass the link along to others.

Any advice is greatly appriciated

Sounds like you are already using some type of Membership script, which is what you need to easily do what you want.

Yes, the website is setup with a CMS called Nucleus, which has a feature that allows people to sign up for accounts. It's completely seperate from Zen-Cart. Do you have any suggestions on how we can go about protecting the signup page before someone pays? And how access can be given after the payment is made?

Information on how to do that should be within the documentation for the Nucleus script. Once you have password protected the dir. using Nucleus you then put the dir. URL on whatever page you want, within Zen Cart. When people go to the dir. / page the Nucleus script should provide a login window.
