the address of my site was /shop before but is now in the root directory, so am wondering if the path has been mucked up. i have checked as much as I can and cant see anything that shows the old path. HELP:

PLEASE tell us you done a FULL backup before you attempted this???????
You have NO way to access your files????..........cPanel, PHPMyAdmin, FTP? The site is still "live", so not all is lost. If a server can serve 'em, there's a way to get to 'em, right?
What, exactly, do you mean......past data?
If so, you can use PHPMyAdmin to re-enter your product information (and any other tables).

That line was supposed to read:

If you done a FULL backup, you can use PHPMyAdmin to re-enter your product information (and any other tables), table by table, if need be.

My server has done a full backup fo PHPMyAdmin. i just cant seem to access it in zencart admin. they say they cant help me with this now it is a zen cart thing. grrr.
They could not use the template backup that was done for some reason, asked me what was the name of my template that i use....i said apple zen, apparently they retrieved most of it, but had to do the rest. my drop down catorgories just areent there, so thinking i will need to do another fresh install of apple-zen. grrr but at least i have my database. just not sure how to use it at this moment

Good, so you do have a full backup. We're off to a good start. Log into your server.......hopefully they have cPanel, or something equivalent.....click on PHPMyAdmin, and follow the steps at the bottom under heading: "To Restore The Database" on THIS PAGE.
That's to do a FULL backup, which will include your template, and all the other information that was lost................providing that THEY done the backup correctly. If they didn't correctly do the backup, then it might really be lost.

Just a side note: If they (your host) can't backup and re-store data that's stored on their servers, without loosing half of it, then why are they in the business?

You should ALWAYS get a Certified Zen-Cart Host , as they would NEVER let something like this happen in the first place.

    Hope this helps.

I have tried everything I can think off. I have re-uploaded my applezen template to get that working a bit better. I have reup loaded my data base that I copied onto my computer from my old database....and now i cant get to my site at all. i get this below.
    1146 Table 'stitchwi_zc1.db_cache' doesn't exist
    in:
    [db_cache table]
i have tried to run the fix_ cache thing, but i am not clear on how to actually do that.
    thanks

Thanks for the update that the table prefixes where causing issues ...

For logging into the Admin there are a couple of things to check ...

Make sure that the two configure.php files, on the server, have the same URLs, paths and database names:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

Again, don't forget to check the prefix issue ...

Next, if you cannot login and are set for secure, change that to not secure and see if you can login ...

If you still cannot login, first see if you can login to your catalog as a customer ... does it work?

If so, you may need to remake the Admin login for the admin table ...

But first, see if any of the above options are working ...
