Need help adding banner to header

Need help. Can't figure out how to get rid of my current logo and writing in the header area, and instead, add my new banner on my page here.

Tried going into the header.php and substituting my logo.gif with my new banner image. Only gave me a red x.

Would appreciate a fresh set of eyes. Thanks!

Looks like you got it working now.

Some of the images on the front page are large you might want to consider installing something like Image Handler 2 which will keep those small images to around 5kb each and make your page size more efficient.

Your Paypal credit card logo is slightly hanging over the sidebox. You can fix that by editing the image or making the sideboxes slightly bigger

You have a search at the top of the page so i would consider ditching the advanced search.

Possibly have some specials or a featured product or two where the advanced search box is.

If you ever need to replace an image just right click and view the properties.

/includes/templates/CustomAventine/images/logo.gif

Thats your location of the current logo so you would just replace it in that location in your files.

It's not fixed, that's just my old logo (the tree). I need to replace that tree and the writing next to it with a banner.

Just go to /includes/templates/CustomAventine/images/logo.gif using an FTP program.

Replace the logo.gif with the new one and it should work.

If you are using a JPG just rename the JPG your file name and change the last part to .gif and it'll work you don't even have to change the jpg to a gif format for that to work. It'll still be a JPG but calling it .gif just makes it work.

Header.php in the includes/languages/english folder for changing the writing next to the banner.

I should have added if you are using a jpg just rename it logo.gif and then upload and overwrite the file currently in the above folder and it will all work.

I would like to thank you, it worked great. For some reason, I was thinking I had to change a couple files, but just uploading and rewriting the logo.gif was great! (and easy)
