    Default Installation problem!

I've recently got new hosting, but am having problems with zencart ( and oscommerce for that matter! )

I've managed to go through the installation all fine, but once that's complete I click on go to store and the page is blank and the admin page comes up with the following

Warning: include(includes/configure.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/owain/domains/alphamenswear.co.uk/public_html/shop/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 61

Warning: include(includes/configure.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/owain/domains/alphamenswear.co.uk/public_html/shop/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 61

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'includes/configure.php' for inclusion (include_path='/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/owain/domains/alphamenswear.co.uk/public_html/shop/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 61

Along with a zencart page saying along the lines of 'I need to install zencart'

I've read a few threads on similar things, and tried searching but I can't find a solution

Any help would be very much appreciated, im going mad here

    Cheers

Check the files on your server and make sure you uploaded all of the files ~ especially admin/includes/application_top.php

All of the files are there, I used filezilla to upload

I just can't see what else it would be!

Seems like a problem with your include_path setting.

Refer to this thread for more information and check with your host on how to change the setting if necessary.

Thanks, that's the thread I saw before - but couldn't remember where I saw it!

Can't get a reply from my hosting guy at the moment, where would I have to change the include_path settings?
As you can probably tell im not a php expert, but I should be able to work out what needs doing!

    Thanks

A quick Google search brings up several possibilities which might point you in the right direction: http://www.google.com/search?&rls=en...path+in+my+php

Since every host is configured differently, you might need to find out the exact appropriate approach for your host using their online FAQs or support desk.

Thanks, yeah I had a search but can't find anything on my host

Will wait and see what he says when he gets back to me

Hopefully will be pretty simple, seems like a few codes to run - but I'll end up doing the wrong thing

I've seen what I need to type, but not 100% where to do it! Would it be with PhpMyAdmin?

It has nothing to do with the database. It'll be either in a custom php.ini file or a .htaccess file, or not at all.

yeah i got a little confused!

I've told the host about this, but he said he's still trying to sort it out

From what I can gather it's just a matter of editing the php.ini file to edit the path?

Would anyone be able to explain slightly so I can tell the guy that sorts the hosting?

    thanks

The post which Canopy pointed to gives some more technical specifics.
