I am looking for a bit of advice.
I have a pretty big website that I designed a long time ago using MS Frontpage and Storefront add-in for the e-commerce part. At this point, the software is long outdated, and I am thinking about moving to a new platform.
I have made a couple small sites with Zencart, so I am a little familiar with Zencart, but not much.
On my big site, I have lots and lots of static html pages that give the users information. Eventually, they can drill down to Storefront ASP pages that let them order. I probably have 95% html informational pages and 5% ASP ordering pages.
Frontpage does a decent job of letting me see the heirarchy of pages on the site, move pages around on the tree, and edit WSYWIG.
I love the shopping cart features of Zencart, but can't figure out how to make a large hierarchical site with lots of html pages. I am open to changing the way my site works somewhat. A big problem with Zencart that I can't figure out is that it seems to be basically designed just for shopping. The informational, educational aspect doesn't seeem there.
Your thoughts?
