Hi MSL365, and welcome to Zencart, I see this is your first post, however, please note that there is a "Tutorial" section at the top of this site, almost all questions can be answered by looking in there first, however, the answer to your question is as follows ! Locate these lines of text in your stylesheet.css file located in "includes/templates/classic/css/

body {
margin: 0;
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 65.5%;
color: #ffffff;
background-color: #ffffff;

If you change the background-color: #ffffff; bit you can change the background colour to whatever you desire !, again welcome to zencart and remember to check the tutorial section, as i'm sure these guys get asked that question many times a day !
