Looking for instructions on how to ban IP addresses ... preferrably how to ban multiple groups (IE: a local area or grouping, if possible.)

Have had a number of issues reagrding security and spam that I'd like to take steps to remedy.

We are on : Zen Cart 1.3.7.1 and Zen Cart 1.3.0.2.
