    Default Can't log in to the Admin

    Ok, I used to work with zen cart and osc quite a bit a few years ago. I haven't touched it for the last couple of years.

    now I have a friend that has asked me to move a site from one host to another. I've moved everything over, and gotten it all up and running. HOWEVER, I cant' seem to get the admin login working.

    The old login and password didn't work. I tried this, and it's didn't work. https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=2 I made sure i changed it so that it uses my prefix, zen_. I made sure that it took because I put my own email address in the insert statement, and tried the resend password feature. It sent me a temporary password, but I cant log in with it.

    I'm a little at a loss for what to try next. Like I said, the catalog is working fine.

    Any ideas? Here's my admin config file minus the password, however it looks like everything is the same as the catalog, which is working fine.

    Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/hostaccount/broke-domain/cache');

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Like I've said, the database on both the catalog and admin are connecting fine. It re-sends a password to the new admin email with no problem. but it won't let me log in.

    Could this be a sessions issue?

    When you changed the login details to the default as noted in that tutorial, what happened? Any error message or did it just return to the login page?

    Same question if you're using the user and password you created originally - any error message?

    No error message. The SQL executed properly. I know this becuase I 'browsed' the table and could see the new data. Also, in the insert statement, I put a new, and different email that would not have been in the admin before. The email in the insert statement is used in the 'send new password function. And when I tried to send new password after I had executed the SQl, it sent the password to the email I just entered.

    so I know the SQL worked, and I know zen cart is reading the new data I inserted.

    I get nore error when I execute the SQL and no error when I try to login. It just says wrong username or password.

    I think it has to be some sort of session error.

    it seems the cart is having some trouble too, after all. Some products may be added to the cart. but once added, they can't be removed.

    This is a mess. Now I remember why I don't mess around with the shopping carts anymore :-)
