SSL and https

Can SSL be installed so that only the checkout pages where personal information and credit card information is requested has the https?

We are using 1.3.8 with cPanel on Apache in a VPS (virtual private server).

If so, how is that done?

We don't want the whole site to be https. We already are well indexed in Google and don't want the URLs to change.

That's the way Zencart works by default, assuming you've made the proper edits in the configure.php files.
