Remove item from Site Map

I have a fresh install of Version 1.3.8 and have a question. I removed the links to Page_2, Page_3, Page_4 in the Information side box but the links still show up on the site map. I have searched the forums and have come up dry as to how to disable the pages or at least remove the links from the site map. I am going to bet it is simple but I am stuck. Thanks in advance for the help.

Did you turn them off in the admin >> Configuration >> Define Page Status or some other method?

Take the "admin tour" from time to time. Start in Configuration and really read (no skimming) what each menu item does.

Seems like I find something every time I look.

I have my define pages that I don't want set to "3" (Link OFF, Define Text OFF), but they are still showing up on my site map. Am I missing something?
