Local Message Sidebox

I am running 1.3.8a and am trying to use the Local Message Sidebox addon. I have copied all of the files and updated the table with 2 pieces of test data. When I turn on the sidebox, the box doesn't show and it blocks other information as well.

For example if I set the sort order at 0 and the box on the left side, nothing but the header shows. If I set the sort order to 15 and the box on the left, the boxes with sort order 10 and below will show up.

If I set the sort order at 55 and move the box to the right, then all of the left side boxes are visible as well as the body of the pade but on the right only the boxes with sort order 50 and below are visible.

This is a new install of a test cart with no other mods installed and only 1 test product.

Any help is appreciated.

My bad...I didn't copy the needed code into the specific Template folder I was using.
