Zones Shipping Only Calculating Handling Fee

Hi,

I am in the process of customising my checkout and shipping. I have set up shipping to be zones based and it was working fine but, for some reason it is now only showing the handling fee, not the table rate as well.

This is the case for all modules, not just the zones one.

Does anybody know what may be wrong and how to fix it? I'm worried I edited a bit of code by accident that instructs the shipping module to apply the table rate as well as the handling fee but not sure which file it could be.

Sounds like you are not extending your rates enough and only the Handling is being used as 0 + Handling = Handling ...

What are your settings on the shipping module?

I have the opposite problem. My shipping is calculating, but the handling is not being applied. I also need to to apply UPS through all of Northern California, and the rest of the US, but only charge a hand delivery fee in Southern California.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tax Class - None

Zone 1:
AU

Zone 1 Shipping Table:
40:0.55,110:1.10,450:5.50,2800:9.60

Zone 1 Handling Fee
$9.00

and the other zones are like this too, but different amounts.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what do you mean by "not extending your rates enough"?

Not extending the rates means that often times a person sets the rates and stop at something like 25:5.75 ... but then when it goes over 25 it then goes to $0.00 as there isn't a definition ...

You are shipping by weight ...

You show your AU rates for:
40:0.55,110:1.10,450:5.50,2800:9.60

You plan to ship 2800 lbs for $9.60 plus $9.00 handling?

What are the settings on the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... set to right now?


Granted this may not happen based on your Maximum Weight shipped as it will divide up the weight based on that amount to get the rate per box ...

Meaning a 700lb order with a 25 maximum is:
Zone Rates (Shipping to AU (28 x 25.00lb(s))) $24.40

0.55 x 28 + 9.00 = $24.40


It would also help to know all of the other settings to see if something has confused the settings based on what you have configured ...

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am unable to get my handling fee to add in the shoppingt cart. I am using the cusomers zip code to calculate UPS shipping fees. I have the a 50lbs weight max per package.

I know this is a simple thing in all likelyhood, but I just don't seem to be able to figure this out.

If you have any idea on how to make this add into the total I would be eternally greatful!

Are you using UPS shipping module that comes with Zen Cart? Or a customized module? Or what ...

What comes with zc. I am a noob, and that might just be an insult to noob's to rank myself as one, and would not begin to know how to creat my own yet.

I set the handling charge at 18.00 but when an order is placed and UPS is selected the handling fee does not get charged.

By the way, thanks for replying! I am going nut with this issue.

Also, I setup a zone to take care of a home delivery fee in California and it keeps doubling the fee. I actually only need that for a specific region, LA county, and think I will have to setup zipcodes anyway, but it is over charging to begin with.

Any help on this would be great also...

Make sure the Handling is written as:
18.00

and not as:
$18.00
