Gift Certificate is screwing up the total in my shopping cart

I am placing an order in my own cart at www.nappyshoppe.com for an item I have bought for my own use.

I have a group discount that I and my staff get, and then I have a freeshipping coupon that I put in so I dont pay shipping.

All works well until I try to use my 5 buck gift certificate balance and then the math goes totally haywire.

Any clue as to what is going on? I have not played around with the code behind gift certs at all. Just going with the default installation on it.

After no response and a real need to fix this, I finally did alot more searching and found the answer in a different forum.

I am posting the answer here because there is bound to be others with the same problem as it is a bug in my current version of zen cart.

The answer was in bug reports.

Its a simple fix in the end, commenting out some code.

Welcome. I rarely post, but I visit here often for solutions to my problems. I only end up posting after I have searched and searched.

I love Zen Cart. I used to do the site for a store that closed down earlier this year when the owner retired. And she used to pay $250 a month for her cart, and it had no where near the power that Zen Cart does. There are so many features zen cart offers standard that we were wishing for on that expensive cart we used for the store.

I have paid less to set up my store with SSL for 2 years than what she paid in one month, and I have a better looking cart and more power to boot.
