Why can't I see my new template in the Admin Template-Select list?

Ok I followed the tutorial on how do I create a custom template. Everything was fine except when it said to upload this to the server. I've been working from the file manager through godaddy's control panel, so I assumed it was on the server as I completed the work. However, when I went to the admin-->tools-->template selection, my CUSTOM template was not available only classic contemporary green and default. Can someone suggest what the problem is and how I should proceed. Obviously I'm new

Did you create a includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php for your template? (where YOUR_TEMPLATE is the name you gave your custom template)

Are you sure the folders and files you created are on the server?

Thanks for the help, I just had not saved template_info.php
