If you mean those buttons labeled "prev listing next" in each listing...
The place to turn them off is at
Admin > Configuration > Product Info > Previous Next - Navigation Bar Position.
Its for Zen Cart version 1.3.7.1 (my current version) so for other versions, it might be different.
You also can set this to once at the top of the listing or once at the bottom or both on.
