    application error Help With Transaction Error Connecting To PayPal

    My customer's transactinos are erroring out and I receive the following e-mail message which appears to be generated from ZenCart:

    Dear store owner,
    An error occurred when attempting to initiate a PayPal Express Checkout
    transaction. As a courtesy, only the error "number" was shown to your
    customer. The details of the error are shown below.

    (7) Failed to connect to 216.113.190.147: Operation not permitted

    Zen Cart message: - (7) Failed to connect to 216.113.190.147: Operation
    not permitted

    Transaction Response Details: Array
    (
    [] =>
    [CURL_ERRORS] => (7) Failed to connect to 216.113.190.147: Operation not
    permitted
    )

    Transaction Submission: Array

    I saw the post regarding the PayPal udpate and this has been completed, but transactions are still failing with the same message. I am on ZenCart version 1.3.8. There have been no changes to my 'store,' host, or PayPal. I've confirmed with PayPal that the transaction is not getting to them at all.

    Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be happening and how to fix it???? Greatly need assistance.

    Thanks!

    That message is coming from your hosting webserver. You'll have to sort out the "why" with them.

    Default CURL error (PayFlow Pro)

    Hi,

    My client store got problem with PayFlow Pro recently, we checked the log and the error as follow:

    (7) Failed to connect to 216.113.190.147: Operation not permitted

    Zen Cart message: - (7) Failed to connect to 216.113.190.147: Operation
    not permitted

    Transaction Response Details: Array
    (
    [] =>
    [CURL_ERRORS] => (7) Failed to connect to 216.113.190.147: Operation not
    permitted
    )

    We assume that the CURL wasn't working, so we contact the host and they asked us to fill a form to open outbound connection for CURL, the form as follow:

    Local script filename (and location) which needs the outbound connection:
    1.
    2.
    ...
    Remote server IP address and port number:
    1.
    2.
    ...
    Exact purpose of this connection:
    1.
    2.
    ...
    Please note that our firewall is IP based. If the remote host changes its IP address in the future, please notify us of the change.
    We have no idea what is the file name that triggered PayFlow Pro outbound connection and also what is the remote IP and port needed to insert to work with PayFlow Pro.

    By the way a bit more about the store:

    - US based
    - zencart v1.3.8
    - PayFlow Pro is the only method of payment

    really appreciate all helps!

    Thanks.

    1. Local script filename (and location) which needs the outbound connection:
    Your store's /index.php is the script that initiates the communication, with the involvement of several other .php files.

    2. Remote server IP address and port number:
    IP Address as stated in the error message.
    Port is 443, since it's operating in SSL mode.

    3. Exact purpose of this connection:
    Processing payment transactions for online store through payment gateway.
