change order status but do not want to send customer email

I'm wondering still if this can be bulk-loaded via phpadmin and I will just try to do that with one of them and see what happens.

In the admin section under orders, I want to change a status label from "delivered" to say "shipped". Or simply add a 5th choice which would say "shipped". Greatly appreciate your help.
