Default Backup MySQL Plug-in - install problem

I just uploaded the Backup MySQL plug-in files to the proper folders on my server.

When, in the admin panel I go to Tools, there is no listing for Database Backup.

I checked the permissions in the different folders - no problem there.

Do I have to go into the Backup MYSQL files and change references to the admin folder (as I have renamed it for security purposes) ?

    Ideas?

    TIA for your help.

That indicates that you missed uploading some files to the /admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes folder, and maybe others too.

NOTE: when loading the files to your server, be sure you are loading it into your "renamed" /admin and not into the actual /admin directory ...

This was the first thing I checked. All of the files are on the server, in their proper folders. I had to first create a admin/boxes/extraboxes structure, as there was no "boxes" folder off of admin/

I just rechecked the server, and all of the files are present.

The downloaded ZIP archive of the Backup MYSQL plug in consists of:

    admin readme.txt
    includes/ backup_mysql.php
    boxes languages
    extra_boxes english
    backup_mysqltools_dhtml.php backup_mysql.php

    extra_datafiles
    backup_mysql.php

It should be /admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes ... note the "/includes/" part in there.

All your menu options are prepared from the /admin/includes/boxes (and extra_boxes) folders. So, there should have been no need to create any new folders.

Sorry - my attempt to format my message didn't quite work out.

I checked and the paths are correct.

There's got to be a simple explanation, but for now, I don't see it.

    Thanks for your help.

On a seperate note, I have installed the plugin and it worked, however since I moved the site to another domain the button for "backup" doesn't show up.

Also when I click delete and confirm deletion the db remains listed. Any help appreciated!

    Check that the directory:
    /admin/backups

    has the right permissions ...

It's set to 777, is that the correct value?

My install, which doesn't work, did not create an admin/backups folder. Should I create one manually and CHMOD to 777?
