setting up Zen Cart for COD only

Hi,
I am using the latest version, and I want to set it up for a client who only needs order totals, he will then ring the customer (he has a small regular local customer base) to discuss delivery, i have disabled various modules , but can't get to the checkout confirmation page, all that is really needed is an ability for customers to log in, be remembered, place orders and be met with a page that gives a final price and a message that tells them the shopkeeper will contact them by telephone to deliver.
can anyone give me clear directions to achieve the above ?

One method is to setup Flat Rate and set to 0.00 and change the name to something else ...

the problem is that the box for billing information still comes up and then when i press the confirmation button the page just refreshes,
what I would really like to do is totally miss out that step so that the
logged in user can go straight from filling his basket to a confirmation message that has a message saying "we will call to arrange delivery " all the shopkeeper needs to know is the total and the address and phone number, all the customer need to know is a price>

Unless you do a lot of rewritting ... you will get the checkout_shipping ... and need to load something like Flat Rate flat or Store Pickup storepickup ... and change the text ...

You could mark all Products Virtual, but COD is designed to not work with Virtual Products ...

Advantage of using the checkout_shipping is that the customer can supply the shipping address that you are trying to quote for ...
