Newbie: How can I EDIT the prices for specific Attributes GLOBALLY?

Ok, I have a new question: How can I EDIT the prices for specific Attributes GLOBALLY? For instance, is there a page or feature where I can edit the the prices of Option Values in specific Attributes (Option Name) then, once prices are changed, it automatically sets those prices in ALL products that are assigned that attribute? Thus, a GLOBAL control once prices are changed?

me again ... I have had no replies so perhaps I need to clarify my question with an example.

Let's say I have 100 products (photography) that ALL share the same attribute with Option Name "Select Print Size" and the Option values (prices) are all shared /the same for all 100 products. For example:

8x10 Archival Print = $20
12x15 Archival Print = $50
20x30 Archival Print = $100
24x36 Archival Print = $150

One day, either because of production costs or whatever, I decide to change the price structure to either a higher orice or lower price.

Currently, I know how to change regular prices (no attributes). But, as far as I know now, I have to go into each of the 100 products individually and change each option value's price (Even though it will be the same prices and changes for ALL 100 products).

So, is there a Zen Cart Admin Page or function where I can isolate am Option Name and its Option Value's prices, change those, and they automatically change the price of ALL 100 products that share that Option Name attribute?

Hi Hugozc,

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to globally mass change price attributes. I am also not aware of any contributions that can do this. Hopefully, one day Zen Cart can support such a useful feature.

If my memory serves me, the free version of Easy Populate does not support attributes, but the for-pay version does, though I've seen comments here in the forum that the pay version is essentially unsupported. Might be worth looking into though.

You could also use phpMyadmin via your control panel if you're comfortable with mySQL commands.

Well, then, if any of the Zen Gurus out there happen to read this, my "Zen Wish List" will include a function for global control of individual attributes (price, change option names, etc).

Perhaps an add-on or a function for the new version of ZC.

If your attributes are exactly the same for each product what you could do it edit the attribute prices on one product, then copy those attributes to all your other catagories using the attribute button next to the product you have edited (it will have an option 'Copy attributes to another catagory'). This should do the trick as I am in the process of updating the price of an attribute in my shop and it is working fine.
