Canadian customers

I am confused about this, I had an order placed from a customer in Alberta Canada today and it charged no tax and too little shipping (in my opinion). Can someone tell me the easiest way to configure zencart that will correctly add tax and shipping for Canadian customers?

you're not suppose to charge taxes if you're in a different country (or the item is being shipped from another country). Regarding shipping, i don't know what module you are using so can't help there.

You can only charge GST if your shop is within Canada (but in this case not in Alberta), if you were located in Alberta you can charge GST and PST.
