Admin not showing add-ons

I have been using version 1.3.8 for a while and have used some add-ons in the past without incident.

During the past few days, I have tried to add a few new ones and each time the admin pages do not reflect those changes. I have verified that the files were uploaded and any changes were made correctly. I just don't see them in the Admin.

Add-Ons recently tried:
AutomaticLogin
Column Layout for Product Listing
Edit Orders from Admin

Any help would be appreciated.

If the server configuration is OK, and you have loaded files to the appropriate directory(ies), and you have successfully patched the dbase when required by certain modules - there should be no technical reason why a (reliable) module is not showing.

Other things to look for are corrupted files (sometimes when you download and unzip a module, the files can get corrupted). You may want to re-download the modules' zip files, and try again.

Other causes could be sending files via FTP in the wrong mode (ascii or binary).

Thanks schoolboy. I downloaded everything again and have been re-installing. Mods are beginning to work now. I was either doing something wrong, or something weird was going on. Thanks again!
