New Customers are not getting a Webcome Email why?

I've been testing my zencart and noticed that when I create a new account i'm not getting an email that states welcome to computerbros.com. I thought when a user joins the website it would send them an a welcome email?

Can you please help me understand why I'm not getting an email on new customers.

Did you set everything up properly in Admin - Configuration - Email Options, and is Send E-Mails set to True?

Also i tried to go to send email in admin and tested a few emails, test accounts and i'm getting this error.

Success Notice: Email sent to: simonajs###################### (1)

I tried a few emails and this isn't working either.

I use for my site and others I have built is this settings

You are using this:
E-Mail Transport Method smtp
E-Mail Linefeeds LF Info

Change to:
E-Mail Transport Method PHP
E-Mail Linefeeds CRLF

Test this setting and respond back..

Ok that works for the send email in the admin/tools/send email drop down.

I'm going to create a new account and see if I get my welcome message though.

One more fix.

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false

Set this to True,

1. then go to: admin panel/ tools/ welcome email
2. Right mouse click on the image, click properties, and notice the path to the image.
3. Create your own image the size of this one, and overwrite the existing one.
