Question about minimum order quantity

Hi all, I have been trying to look for an answer from the threads but to no avail, anyone can help. How can I set customer to have a minimum order of 5 pieces product instead of minimum $ purchase before they can confirm order and checkout?

in your product page . ( admin / catalog / categories / products )

you have Product Qty Minimum: that can be set to 5.. this works base on quantity and not price .

Hi Tony, Sorry that I have to correct my question is minimum purchase at 5 pieces order in total, customer can mix and match the products, customer need not require to purchase 5 pieces/ design, so I think I cant set the
Product Qty Minimum at admin/ catagory right?

so customer must have minimum of 5 Item in their basket before checking out.

I guess you can use Minimum order Module for this and change from value to Item .. ( small code work ) . i believe i seen a thread about this somewhere ..

I installed it unfortunately it stopped the site admin working, I suspect due to the theme. I had to uninstall it quickly. Although it seemed to work for others and it would hav been perfect for me. Are there any other solutions to set minimum total quantity for the order to 12.
