Coupon not redeeming for correct amount

Got a problem with my coupon code. Set up a coupon for my client's store as a one time use for both customer and coupon. Set it 13.95 plus free shipping. But coupon only subtracts the shipping charge and not the 13.95. Why is that? This is for v1.3.8a

At this time, Discount Coupons can be for any ONE of the following, but NOT in combination:

1 Free Shipping

2 Amount Off

3 Percentage Off


Setting the Discount Coupon to both Free Shipping and an Amount Off is breaking things ...

Is there some kind of module where you can offer both? My client is pretty disgusted that you can't do this.

I am not aware of one at this time ...

You could do a lot of customization for this, but I cannot think of anything simple off the top of my head ...
