Gift Certificate problems

I created a user to test my site. I sent a gift certificate for $4.89 and made a purchased for $4.99. I entered in the gift certificate text box 4.89 and the site took me to paypal where i paid for the remaining .10 cents.

when I click on Return to Merchant it takes me to step 2 of the check out process and get this msg:

It appears that the amount you have tried to apply and your Gift Certificate balance do not match. Please try again.

However when I go to my account > view order
I can download the product without any problems.
What's the problem?
I tried twice with different gift certificates and get the same message.

I'm having the same issue so I did a search and came across this post: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...1&postcount=37

I am about to implement the solution posted there and will update if it clears the problem or not :)

Quick Update: So far so good, I have had a few orders using gift certs and the problem hasn't come up again *crosses fingers*
