Default No drop downs in Admin area! HELP!

I've just installed Zen Cart and logged in to the Admin area for the first time.
However, there seems to be display errors as all the drop downs are just being displayed as one long list!

I have not changed any CSS files or anything else.

    Can anybody help me?

    Here is what I'm seeing:

That'll happen when you click on a main section name rather than hover to see the dropdown ...?

What does "click on a main section name rather than hover to see the dropdown" mean?

When I log in to the Admin section I see all the links displayed. I have not clicked or hovered over anything!

Have a look at the attached image. That is what I see when I log in to the Admin area.

I'd suspect a bad FTP. Make sure all the files made it into the admin folder.

I've figured out the problem but I have no idea of how to fix it...

Basically, for some reason the CSS and JS files are not being found. I've checked on the server and they are there. I've checked the URLs and even hardcoded them but it still does not work.

When I type in the URL of the files I get this message:

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I've checked the permission of the files and folders and the everyone can Read / Write / Execute them.

Anyone know what the problem is? Why are these files sort of blocked?!
