    Default I hate IE

    We use Firefox exclusively, and I stupidly neglected to look at the site in anything other than Firefox.

    In IE the Featured products, instead of being three columns wide, appear as a single column. The featured Bar is not showing correctly either.

    Can anyone a.) Tell me why? and b.) How the heck do I get it fixed?

    Thanks much,
    Doug

    Thanks. That's good to know.

    Since I have such an aversion to IE, we're still back on IE6 so that's what I was looking at.

    Grumble, grumble ... maybe I'll update.

    Featured products where messed up when I viewed in IE6 and IE7

    .centerBoxWrapper {
    border-bottom:4px solid #9A9A9A;
    border-left:1px solid #9A9A9A;
    border-right:1px solid #9A9A9A;
    clear:both;
    height:1%;
    margin:1.1em 0;}

    I added the clear...(highlighted in green) and deleted the height (highlighted in red) as a quick fix...

    height: 1% is sometimes used as a quick fix for IE's inability to calculate the size of something if no size is specified -- in other words, if the size is intended to be calculated from the included items. You don't have to specify the real size, but specifying any size kicks IE and wakes it up. In other words, it's a way to hack around an IE bug. You may want to leave it in, as it should not cause any harm.

    Thanks for looking at this. I'll get the changes into the stylesheet this evening - if I can still stay awake.

    Flower shop - Mother's Day (today) - you get the picture.
