    Default Editing define_main_page corrupts home page?

    ver 1.3.8a
    web site www.cvtreasures.com

    I just added some text to my home page via the define pages editor. The result was my home page code is now corrupted.

    I don;t understand how editng this file results in the home page corrupted. The only code in this file is for test and youtube video. There was never any code here to begin with so what could have been corrupted? Apparently, there was another file that was corrupted ??

    The original define_main_page.php contains:

    Code:
    <p><strong>Main Page Sample Text ...</strong></p>
    <p>This section of text is from the Define Pages Editor located under Tools in the Admin.</p>
    <p>To remove this section of the text, delete it from the Define Pages Editor.</p>
    and is used to build part of the main page of the site, so if the contents are corrupt or invalid, it will effect the contents of the main page.

    If you look at the Holzheimer's site in my sig, the portion of the main page that comes from define_main_page.php begins with:

    Code:
    <br>
    <br>
    <b>
    <center>* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *</center>
    </b>
    <br>

    As I was downstairs thinking about this it dawned on me that the existing code , even though just for text, may be corrupt and hence, the culprit for affecting the entire home page.

    Then I checked my email and see you beat me to it. Thanks!

    I find that sometimes just typing the post brings the problem into focus and makes the answer easier to find. Several times, I've stopped in the middle of posting because the answer came to me. Glad you were able to get it sorted.
