need original copy of text in index

Of course I didn't make a back up before editing my index page (includes/languages/english/index.php) I made a change that is causing an error and making my homepage of my cart blank. I've done everything suggested for blank pages. My error log is saying there's an extra character that I can't find. I'd like to just start over with the original index.php text. Please help!
