Can't connect to SMTP??

OS: WinXP Pro SP3
ZC ver: 1.3.8a

We've been running ZC for almost a year with no problems. THEN, today it says it can not connect to SMTP for some reason?? We've not upgrade either ZC or our site or made any changes to our mail server.

There are no confirmation letters going out or any thing.

Any ideas what could be going on?

Check your mail server. Try sending a message through your email account not using ZenCart. If you have webmail access to the email account, take a look at the inbox to see if your confirmation copies are arriving.
