Fed Ex Shipping with Free and paid express

My site offers free shipping on ground packages, naturally selecting the free shipping on the product set up manager is working fine.

However we also offer the express options in the check out pages. The problem is the product pages forward a zero weight to the checkout and the module calculates the express options incorrectly

Does anyone know how to keep free shipping valid on ground and then have accurate express options in fed ex?

You could mark the product as Always Free Shipping and add the weight to it ...

Then, FedEx, being setup incorrectly to work with Free Shipping freeshipper will show with the correct weight and the Free Shipping freeshipper module will show on orders that have Free Shipping ...

I have a similar issue. For Gift Cards that we sell we ONLY want to offer ALWAYS FREE SHIPPING. The UPS module seems to note this and NOT display its options during checkout, but FEDEX options always appear during checkout.

How can I make sure FEDEX does not display it's options during checkout when all items are marked as product is always free shipping?

Compare the FedEx to the UPS shipping module and see how the $this->enabled is controlled to not show the shipping module when there is Free Shipping showing ...

FedEx, not being a core Zen Cart shipping module, is missing this code to control it ...
