In order to prevent spiders and bots that ignore the nofollow, noindex, I have found where some sites use bot traps to capture IP address of the offenders. Are bot traps sucessful in helping to prevent scraper and other malicious spiders and bots? If bot traps are a good thing, how should the bot trap be set up?
