Having Problem Installing Zencart Need Help ASAP Please

Ok I first installed zencart for my friend when she got the following error code

1146 Table 'healyour_zc1.zen_db_cache' doesn't exist
in:
[db_cache table]

She tried to uninstall Zencart and it would not allow her so she went in and deleted the page it was installed on in her file manager and of course Zencart is showing it is still installed

Than she went in and tried to install on new page and is getting this error code on INSTALL PAGE

And on the actual page itself it showing
1146 Table 'healyour_zc1.zen_db_cache' doesn't exist

So my question is how do I delete the original install so I can do a CLEAN install on that page and why is it not installing correctly in the first place

uninstalling zc is fairly easy .. just delete all files and folders belonging to zc from your site .

you should also remove tables created by zc install in your database . by login to your PHPMYADMIN and dropping tables .

if you can not remove files from server , you might need to set permission ( CHMOD on linux ) either through your FTP or your File manager provided by your host in your hosting account.

make sure you upload a good copy of zen cart for installation .. this seems to me a corrupted file was uploaded in first place .

I hope this does not sounds as stupid as I am sure it is going to lol I have no idea how to remove the files now that she has deleted that page where should I look I dont want to mess this up worse. Do know of anyone I could hire to do this quickly

Imagine that you are working on your own computer and in "My Documents" you have a set of folders (containing files) you no longer want.

You highlight the folder(s) and then delete them - (send them to the "trash can")

You do the same with the zencart folders on the remote server, and the program you use to access these is called a FTP program.

(If you are lost at this point - "what's FTP???" - then you need to learn some basics of remote server management.)

... so before I continue... are you familiar with FTP and how it works?

Yes I understand how to delete files and I understand FTP where are the files located at so I don't miss any is what I am asking please

I am not stupid just obviously not as educated as you hence the reason I am asking for help

when you sign up for hosting account . you do get FTP information .. you need those info to connect to ROOT of account .. every host configure their server differently .. so your root can be htdoc , public_html or mydomain.com ,

once logged in using your ftp ... simply enter in correct folder that you have ZC installed . once there , you can simply delete all files and folders belonging to zencart .. Some FTP wont allow deleting folders if there are still some file in them , but that can be changed through your FTP settings or preference section ..

you can also use File manager provided to you by your host , to accomplish all that from within your hosting account .

Thank you I totally understand that part the problem is created a file called Store and put her zencart install there and then when it wasnt working and she couldnt remove the file through standard removal via the Cpanel through uninstall procedure she just went in and simply deleted the store folder assuming it would then delete her zencart install. Of course when she went back in to redo her zencart install and recreate the folder store it was showing there was still a install of zencart in her folder called Store but it is no longer in the public domain it was deleted lol

I think she may have done a real number lol

Good idea that you download a copy of the zencart software to your home computer:

Download link here and you want version 1.3.8a

Unzip it to your hard drive, then in your FTP program, display the file tree of the software you just downloaded, in the FTP Left Frame.

Then, connect to your remote host in the right frame. Drill down until you see the folders/files in the left frame, correspond to folders/files in the right frame.

The left frame is your reference. But be a bit careful, because you may have folders on the server that are common to other programs - not just ZC.

Now... if you are still wanting to use zencart, you may consider starting from scratch.

If you can, DELETE or TRUNCATE the existing database. If you delete it, create a new one, making sure to write down its new name, user and passwd.

Then, FTP all the zencart folders/files to the server, and select "Overwrite All" when prompted.

Then, install again.
