Insert/Edit image issue using Tinymce

I am trying to insert an image into the main page (via Define Pages Editor), but when I hit the Browse icon for "Image URL", nothing happens. Is there a setting that needs changing?

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to tell me here. I am just trying to browse to the location of the image and upload it and insert.

I do not use or know tinyMCE and/or their browse function as this is not part of the default install...

What "limelites" was referencing is hand coding the href detail...

I have the same problem, any ideas how to fix it yet? there's no way that i can talk my client into coding anything no matter how simple

Running on a Mac via MAMP (local install) tried in safari and firefox with the same effect.

If you are looking for a workaround, this might work.

You could use the Products Image uploader in the product editor window to Browse to a file on your local drive and then click Preview. You will get a message saying "Success: File upload saved successfully whateverimageyoujustuploaded.jpg"

Select Cancel. This way the image is uploaded, but won't replace the main Product Image.

Then for adding the image in Tinymce, all they have to remember is to paste http://www.domain.com/images/ before the file name they just uploaded. It should pop right up in the Preview window.

We use this technique, but have a "hidden product" to do the upload, so we don't affect a "real" product. We also have a separate folder in the images folder for images that appear on define and ez pages. We select the appropriate folder before enacting the upload.

HTML editors with an upload feature present security vulnerabilities, so they are not encouraged.
