Offer Free Shipping & Other Expedited Options

Hi All,
I have looked and looked for the answer. Can't even find that the question has been asked.

I would like to offer free shipping by selecting the "always free shipping" option in the admin > product edit. With this we also need to offer the customer any other options available in their region.

I know about zones and how they work. That won't (shouldn't) be a problem.

How can we offer free shipping on an item and also offer other shipping methods?

The shipping modules are designed to show either shipping or free shipping when Always Free Shipping is used, but not both ...

You could customize the shipping modules to display even when Free Shipping freeshipper is showing, however, if you have a Product marked as Always Free Shipping then that product reduces the Item Count, Weight or Price ...

You would have to do more customization to alter the reduction to the shipping cost based on that setting or your other shipping modules would not calculate correctly even if they showed at the same time as the Free Shipping freeshipper shipping module ...
