Default Orders not complete with Paypal IPN on GoDaddy

I have been getting payments receipts thru email from paypal but when I go to my Zen Cart I the orders are not there. I have checked all the paypal settings and ran the IPNCHECK.PHP - Version 1.3.9 with the following results :
IPN TESTING - Response Received via CURL -- COMMUNICATIONS OKAY

IPN TESTING - Confirmation/Validation response with fsockopen(): FSOCKOPEN() RESPONSE RECEIVED - Communications OKAY

Default method likely to be used for communications is: CURL, with the fallback method being FSOCKOPEN if possible.

    Script finished.

Any help greatly appreciated. It does not look very professional having to email my customer and ask them what they purchased.

I've been digging around and found a solution. I will need to do a bit more testing but it worked on one test purchase by credit card. The solution deals with Godaddy hosting and Curl. Here is the quoted posting. I hope this worked and works for others.

"GoDaddy and broken PayPal (and other) Payment modules
In September 2008, GoDaddy made changes to their hosting-server configuration and removed the need for the proxy server in order to handle outbound communication.

This means you no longer need to use the CURL Proxy option to talk to external hosts.

So, IF YOU ARE USING GODADDY HOSTING, you need to make the following change:

    1. Go to Admin->Configuration->My Store ... and set CURL Proxy Status = false

This should re-enable your payment (and some shipping) modules for their outbound communication.

    2. IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING PAYPAL-SPECIFIC problems after making the above change, you'll need to change the code and disable the bandage patches that were at one point necessary to handle PayPal communications: If your PayPal transactions are not completing properly, and you're using GoDaddy hosting with Zen Cart v1.3.x, you can follow the instructions in the following post for a workaround: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...520#post612520

Finally! I've have been looking everywhere for a solution to my GoDaddy\Paypal issue. I used your solution and changed my cuRl Proxy Status to False and I am now in business. I have been looking for days. I actually apply this fix for PayPal Express.
