business database

im looking to add a business database to my site so plumbers and fitters can add a listing of their business to my site for FREE and then customers can then search for a local plumber via location.

i would like this to be fully automated, ie the plumber adds his own address and name etc (maybe in the same sign up screen as customers) and then their listing is removed after a year/12 months and they are emailed to say they need to come resubmit their listing as numbers and addresses may have changed.

customers can then search via local area, county, and get a list of the companies.

is this possible at all?? is their a mod for this?? is their a 3rd part open source program on hotscripts or something that does this which i could add to the site, could be a whole new section and not be part of the zencart and be totally seporate.... this might be even better.

any advice or help would be great.

This is not really a function of Zencart. Perhaps you need to look at more appropriate programs for this. I'm sure there must be lots on sourceforge...
