Paypal IPN Error

Hi all,

I am trying to configure Paypal IPN, the payment is working fine but the order is not showing up at Zen Cart. As for the customer it shows like everything went okay, but when he wants to check the status of his order he finds out there isnt any order in Zen Cart.

Error message I found in the log files:
IPN FATAL ERROR::Could not establish fsockopen. Host Details = www.paypal.com:80

allow_url_fsock has been turned on in php.ini. Any other idea's?

1.) I'm not using GoDaddy hosting (had already read that topic)
2.) I see, so if I understand right even tho allow_url_fopen has been manual turned on in PHP, I explicitly have to ask to turn fsockopen on at my host?
3.) I know how to configure it, thats not the problem.

2. It seems fsockopen is now working on your host.
3. The reason for the link was not about how-to-configure. It was about the extensive troubleshooting details available.

4. Additionally, install the debug-logging utility mentioned here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82
and then attempt to access ipn_main_handler.php using your browser. Then check the logs produced by that utility to find out what PHP error is causing the IPN handler to die.

And, which version of Zen Cart are you using? What addons have you added?

Thanks loads, I am still having a word with my host and I will try the debug utility.

Oh and I'm using version 1.3.8, out of the box.

My host told me that they are blocking fopen and that I had to use port 443 instead of 80. Does my complete webshop has to be in SSL or can just the comminucation between Paypal and Zen-Cart be changed from 80 to 443?

Nevermind... fixed it by changing if($web['scheme'] == "https") => if($web['scheme'] != "https")
