Customer Image Upload - Where ?

Hi all

I'm new here, and at the moment am trying to decide whether to use Zen Cart or osCommerce for my new site.

I currently have a site, but this is very limited in terms of what I can do with it, so have decided to look elsewhere for something i can customise more than what i currently can.

I'm edgin towards Zen-Cart as the layout seems to be more of what I'm looking for, but the one factor that zen-cart has over oscommerce so far, is the image upload attribute.

Our website sells Icing Sheets/Mouse Mats etc with customers photographs on. Currently these are emailed to use after purchase, but i'd like customers to be able to upload their photo's as part of the purchase.

I've found the setting, but have noticed that the uploaded images arent attached to the order OR the email notification. I believe you have to ftp to get the images. Is there a way or a mod etc, where either a URL is attached to the email for each photo thats been uploaded with an order ? Or even the photo attached to the order itself on the orders page ?

I've been told that sometimes the uploaded images don't match the filenames in the ftp folder. Is this correct, and if so is there a fix ? As this could be a pretty major disaster waiting to happen for me.

Also, after the customer has uploaded their file, is there a way they can preview a thumbnail so they can be sure theyve uploaded the correct file ?

If I can get this bit sorted, then I think I wuld have made my decision.
