okay, so as i have been learning i tried to go back to another site i had installed on and i have forgotten the Admin username and password. Id there any way to reset this or do i have to do a whole new install?

You can see the username in the database using phpMyAdmin. This should be available to you via your hosting account CPanel interface for the website (domain) in question.
