Help Needed Getting no where, really stressed !!

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can point me to the right direction as I am new to this forum.

I have a furniture website which was created by a friend. Although bulk of work was done but it lacks the structure/layout etc and is not complete.

I have decided to do everything on my own or what ever I can in order to get it done asap and to save the money which is not coming from the site at all.

I really hope highly experienced forum members can take a look at my sight and perhaps see what i mean when it lacks structure.

I am redoing everything, starting with adding products and other information. I am very confused and unsure on three things to start with.

1) How to bulk upload products? Is there a way I can put info in excel and then add the information.

2) How to add more pictures under the same item (multiple pictures for customers)

3) How to bulk modify items already added by my friend. How do I link them under range?

and welcome to the world of zen :) I think the best place for you to start is in the FAQ section and have a look at a few of the tutorials at least to get the basics, There are addons to do some of the things you want to do and you'll find plenty of help on these forums to get you through (prob best one thing at a time thu :))

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. As you know i am new to this so just working my way around it.

Could you possibly tell me where will i find the tutorials to bulk upload?

1. Bulk uploads can be done using the Easy Populate mod.

2. you can use the Image Handler 2 mod to make messing with images a lot easier, but check this: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=58

3. Not sure what the question is.

Template suits your products....layout is excellent, colour scheme easy on the eye...the one thing would recommend is
SSL cert..your products are highly priced..not a criticism. they look good value, but spending that sort of money would require proof of where money is going and to who...

Very nice-looking site. I'd agree about the SSL certificate, and as expensive as some of your products are, I would expect a regular credit card merchant account instead of/in addition to Paypal.

Some of your images should be smaller (file size, not dimensions), like the two at the top of the Living Room product listing page.

I'm, seeing the dreaded IE red X image replacement in IE7 and IE8 at the right end of your header. The image name is logo_new_collection.jpg.

I might also remove the 'GB Pound' dropdown in the header, since that's the only currency you accept.

Overall, though, a great job.
