Unable To Accept Credit Card Payments

Hello,

For the last few days my customers get a error code at check out when trying to pay by credit card that reads:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives"

They are able to pay by using Paypal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What gateway are you using to accept credit cards? Do you have the payment gateway integrated into Zen Cart?

I am using Linkpoint and I did a search on this forum and found that I am not alone in this issue between Hostmonster and Linkpoint. One of the forum users said to contact Hostmonster to ask if they could prove that port 1129 was open without limitations. I did this and they said, "Per my request, the port had been whitelisted and any limitations had been lifted". I ask the Hostmonster tech what that meant, he was very vague but said my customers should be able to use credit cards at checkout without the error code. But if I had any further concerns to contact Linkpoint.
