Does the order of installing modifications matter?

I am using Zen-Cart Version 1.3.8a on a new web site.

I plan on installing:

Zen-Cart Module Manager
the Cold Steel Template (thank you to Clyde Jones)
Image Handler 2
One Page Checkout
Simple SEO URL
modifying tpl_product_info_display.php
Google Base Feeder

What should the order be of these installations/mods? Do I do the template first? Can someone tell me the correct order please?

While I can't speak with certainty about all of these mods, in general, mods that affect different parts of your site can be installed in any order.

The big exception to this is the template, since most mods need to have their files installed into the template/override structure. The template needs to be installed before any of its mods.

You should be keeping track of the modified files in all of your installed mods; if any two mods touch the same file, their customizations will have to be carefully merged into one copy of the file. In a few cases, mods will be incompatible because they both want to change the same code in different ways.
