Administrator directory is lost!!!

Some server issues last week resulted in a migration of my entire server and then back again.

Somewhere in transit, the administrator directory has VANISHED!
Store runs fine, but I cannot access backend.

Database appears to be intact.

How to I repair this issue and get my admin back? Can I just upload directory from install files?

well no, not via ftp anyway. There's literally no admin directory anymore.

If not, I can pm you one so you can make the changes to view the admin panel....

I don't see why you couldn't upload a new set of admin files. Just edit the new admin config file.

Most mods don't touch the admin area, but check the source of any mods you are using to see if they upload anything to admin.

Just wondering, your admin dir didn't perhaps just get renamed somehow? or ended up with a "." in front of it?

no, it's just literally gone
The database tables look to be in tact via phpmyadmin tho
So if i upload the admin directory from install files ... and edit config ... how messed up is this all going to be?

I'm terrified of losing the shipping and custom mod settings that took me FOREVER to finally get right .
